​Astobiza

Astobiza is a family-owned winery in the Txakolí de Álava region of Spain, founded by Xabier Abando in fulfillment of a lifelong dream inspired by his father's winemaking legacy. After purchasing land near Okondo in 1996 and gradually planting vineyards, Xabier built the winery in 2008 and produced his first vintage at the age of 68. Today, alongside his son-in-law Jon Zubeldia and enologist Ana Martín, he crafts elegant, organically farmed Txakolí wines that honor both family tradition and the unique character of the Basque Country.
