El Portalon

El Portalón is produced by Bodegas Cerrosol, a family-owned winery in Santiuste de San Juan Bautista in the heart of Spain’s Rueda appellation, widely regarded as one of the region’s top areas. Their vineyards sit at high elevations between 830 and 910 meters, where significant day-to-night temperature swings help develop freshness and complexity.

The sandy soils allow many of the vines to remain phylloxera-free, contributing to a more transparent expression of terroir. The family farms sustainably and uses minimal sulfur, focusing on crafting wines that are bright, balanced, and consistent year after year.
