Terreno

Terreno is a family-owned estate in the hills of Greve in Chianti, Italy, led by second-generation proprietor Sofia Ruhne. Since taking over in 2015, Sofia has guided the estate's transition to organic farming while focusing on site-specific viticulture and the expressive potential of Sangiovese. The estate's vineyards span three distinct hillside sites, each farmed and vinified with meticulous attention to terroir. Through sustainable farming, spontaneous fermentations, and parcel-by-parcel winemaking, Terreno produces elegant Chianti Classico wines that balance tradition with a modern, terroir-driven approach.
