Enrico Nada is a rising talent in Barbaresco, crafting expressive wines from the steep, well-exposed Casot cru near Treiso. The family’s roots date back to 1900, when a vineyard parcel in Casot was first acquired. In the 1960s, Antonio Nada began estate bottling, a forward-thinking move that aligned with the establishment of the Barbaresco DOC. Over time, the family expanded their holdings across Casot and Marcarini, maintaining a small, focused production rooted in this historic site.
After taking over as cellar master in 2008, Enrico introduced a more progressive approach, reducing sulfur use, limiting filtration, and transitioning the vineyards to organic farming. All fruit is hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously for the reds, with a strong emphasis on site expression. The estate continues to evolve, including new plantings in Alta Langa, while remaining deeply tied to the traditions and character of Barbaresco.
