Located at the crossroads of Touraine, Sologne and Berry, Monthou-sur-Cher is a village of real
character where the living is good.
The grapevine-covered hillsides that surround it were sculpted by two rivers that go on to join the Cher, further off in its wide valley.
Forests, streams, valleys, grasslands and vineyards abound, invitations to relaxation, while lovers of ancient stonework will find a great deal to delight them – a Neolithic grindstone, Gué-Péan Castle, the town’s Romanesque church, and a venerable waterwheel mill among much else.
There are roadways and footpaths aplenty to lead the rambler who knows where - the GR 41 (Tours-Le Puy) runs across the municipality.
Ponds and rivers await the avid angler.
Guesthouses and gites offer you a warm welcome all year round.
Here, we are adepts of the good life.
This is our home – where you too can feel at home.
Our Domain lies in the midst of the Loire Valley castles, our neighbours sporting such names as "Chenonceau", "Cheverny", and "Amboise."
We are just two and a half hours from Paris, an hour from Tours, and half an hour from Amboise.
The estate overlooks Monthou-sur-Cher to the east of the village, high on a hillside in the tiny hamlet of "La Bocagerie."
