Domaine Paul Janin

France (3).png

Our estate has always been in Saône-et-Loire, in Romanèche-Thorins. The term "domaine" goes back to the 11th century, it meant that we had land in ownership. Our estate has always been in Saône-et-Loire, in Romanèche-Thorins. Since 1937, our land has produced Moulin-à-Vent crus as well as a Beaujolais-Village in red and white. I am the fourth generation of the family.

In the word "domaine", there is also "hand". The hand is the work, the gesture, the signature. It also means care, contact, sharing, a spirit in motion.

Jean-Claude, Marcel, Paul and myself have always been craftsmen. Our hands are the material of the winegrower, just as the grape is the material of the wine.

For us, these two materials have never ceased to be in contact, they remind us of the past, anchor us in reality and project us into the future.

In 2018, there is now the Maison Paul Janin & Fils. It produces new crus, in Chénas and Brouilly. We gave it our name because we work with the same desire to remain craftsmen of our wines. Our house spirit was born with the estate, and it remains alive with this new chapter in our family history.

The house style of these new wines is also inherited from the wines we have been producing for a century now.

The Maison Paul Janin & Fils is a house that resembles us, it is a family house.
